TURNED INTO A SEX SLAVE.

Crying out for help. Image by Galo images
A 17 year old Soweto teenage girl went missing on March 21 and was found yesterday at a 37 year old man's home who stays in Braamfischerville. "The girl often goes missing and it is her mothers negligence", says Soweto community. They are putting the blame on her mother of which at the end it contradicts their statement to the one the sister of the victim has told ETV news crew. Well I personally think that it is not the mother’s fault that all this has happened to her child. Her older sister spoke to the ETV crew and explained that their mother even quit her job just to be home more and look after her younger sister but even that did not stop her from going to have a jol. Later today, the girl was cross examined and she was declared mentally unfit. What does that mean for the accused? It means life in prison. The video of a gang rape was circulating on the Internet and social networks that includes Twitter. To me, this means that after this was done they turned into new media for a show off of what they had done therefore, they do deserve serious jail time. Amongst the co-accused were two minors who are just 14 years of age. The kids are raping other kids, where are they getting such behaviour? and why the elders allowing such?. It is such a shock that the young men of the world are behaving like this. Honestly, nobody has a right to touch you even if their excuse is that you were wearing a short skirt. No means No and today's society thinks No means Yes.

Stop violence campaign(http://www.googleimage.com/).
There is always something extra to be done. If it means do it over and over again then let us do it. An anti-rape and violence campaign against women and children will be hosted until the rapist and women abusers get the message. We, as women of today are strong so I say let us fight for our rights.

  1. What has our world come to,how can a 14 year old boy rape a 17 year old, where does he get that? Does the movies we watch or the music we listen have any influence to such crimes or does it come to the way a certain individual is raised in play a role? What eva the case may be it does not justify to such crimes in our country

  3. It is bad that today's youth is using new media in a very bad way filming disgusting behaviours that will not even contribute to thier future and in the nation's future buiding.Lastly I suggetst that perents must monitor thier child's cellphone more frequently. As a youth of South Africa let us use the new media in developing our lives not ruining our future.

    1. Lucky the way things are today, I am old school like that. Why don't we go back to having a cellphone when we 21 and responsible.

  4. This is an unfortunate and disturbing incident, our youth have turned evil! Well, the damage has already been done, all that we can hope for is that justice will take its place. Hopefully a harsh one to set an example!

  5. This was a misfortune to the girl, and I think the serious punishment has to take its course and maybe get the community involved to make sure that even the prospective rapists see that. I think the other foreign are doing good when its comes to sentcencing rapists...why can't South Africa do the same so that this is voided

  6. Loyiso and Nic, It was indeed an unfortunate incident and if they get light sentences this will not make other rapists see how serious this is..Why do men resort to raping though? That i still do not understand..

  7. Pebetse this is affecting us in a big way. I am so scared for the girl children that are born and to be born. But last week it was reported on News24 that two women raped a mentally sick boy. So i ask myself what is happening to the world we are living in?. Could this be revenge?

  8. On basis that the girl is mentally unfit, this was utterly wrong!!!. Though what do you personally think about a 'group bang'?, I'm sure some of us can relate...

    1. This is shocking Maphike because the community members keep on saying she often disappears so now it is like they are contradicting what the psychologists are saying.
